Music is an integral part of our history. It accompanies and even guides our emotional states. Moreover, music is an excellent anchor for memories. When we recall a song that's haunted us for days or months, we recall the events surrounding it. Therefore, in the Memo app, Music is one of the eight default sections, which we highly recommend to fill out.
Unlike movies, which we don't use to (or can't afford) to re-watch because it's time-consuming, we can easily re-listen to a song from the past and quickly return to that time. Recalling dates (time periods) through songs is very easy – on YouTube or Wikipedia, we can see when a song or music video was released (although sometimes it happens that you become imbued with a song years after its release). This means you can quickly build a library of your favorite songs.
Of course, you can find specialized music cataloging programs (including free ones), starting with the famous iTunes. They contain a powerful database and file management system that support all popular formats, including MP3, FLAC, OGG, M4A, WMA and WAV. They also allow to edit file metadata, rename music files, sort them into a folder structure exactly the way you want, parse metadata and cover art from the internet.

Of course, these programs include an audio player with the ability to create playlists. They enable to compile your own song/artist ratings, create lists of your favourite artists, composers, producers and sync your media library with your phone (or stream music to your phone without downloading). But does the average user really need all this? I think, most people just use YouTube or Spotify and don't bother creating a detailed music catalog.
Memo app, however, maximizes the value of YouTube and Spotify. The program is integrated with YouTube - you can simply paste the link to YouTube video and the program fetches the song title and image. And then, when viewing the mosaic of your favorite songs - you simply click on the song and it opens on YouTube.
But the most important thing is the song's connection to your history (which professional music managers don't even provide). Therefore, you can write down where you heard the song in the memo's text field. I also recommend always displaying the Music section in Year-view, which adds emotional coloring and helps you to recollect more.
