Memo app - my Dream Journal and Organizer

We spend a third of our lives sleeping, so sleep is a significant part of our story. Therefore, I recommend that all Memo app users create a "Dreams" tag and record their dreams there. Dreams are a product of events that occur in our lives. Typically, you most often see the same people you see in reality, find yourself in the same places you usually visit and do the same things you usually do in real life. Therefore, it's very interesting to analyze your dreams - how your subconscious reacts to what's happening. And even more interesting, a few years from now, to read about what you dreamed during a particular period and how your dreams have been changing over time.

A bonus is that when you record your dreams, you begin to watch them more often. Or rather, you begin to remember them better (after all, we dream every night, but most often we don't remember it). Remembering and analyzing dreams is not only interesting but also useful for self-knowledge and understanding your current mental state (your fears and hopes). If you understand yourself better, you can at least reduce your stress levels, which are always raise by uncertainty.

Of course, you can find many specialized dream recording apps on the Internet. They now offer everything you can imagine: dream journaling, categorization, dream recall assistant, dream interpreter (categorized or powered by AI), dream illustration generator and even a built-in AI psychologist that begins therapy based on your dreams. I saw an app that promises the ability to choose what you want to dream - it monitors your movement during the night, then plays a themed soundscape at the optimum moment in your sleep cycle.

I think many of these apps are worth considering, given the underrated potential of dreams. The only thing is, a dream recording app should provide sufficient privacy, as sometimes we dream about things we would never share even with our best friends.

By the way, Memo app provides a sufficient level of security. Your data is stored only on your computer (not in the cloud) and isn't synced via the cloud. You can also set a password to prevent accidental access from anyone at home.

In general, different dream apps have different advantages, but the Memo app offers a unique opportunity to analyze dreams in the context of your real-life history. Plus, you don't need to install an additional app - all your notes, medical records, prescriptions... and dreams can be stored in one place.

For each dream, you can add a title and an image if you like. Images may be used to tag only the most vivid dreams (you can find them in Google Images or ask ChatGPT to generate one), but the title, while optional, is a really useful field. When you just wake up and still remember the dream, I recommend the first step: come up with a title for the dream to enter into the Memo app. Because it's very easy to forget a dream, and having a short title that you remember works like a key to reconstruct the entire dream.

Happy Dreaming!
